Croatia gives more and more attention to the needs of disabled travelers, partly because of wounded war veterans. Public toilets at bus stations, train stations, airports and large public venues are usually wheelchair accessible.
Large hotels are wheelchair accessible, but very little private accommodation is. You can find accommodations suitable for wheelchair users by checking the ‘Facilities for disabled guests‘ option in your Booking.com search criteria.
Bus and train stations in Zagreb, Zadar, Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik are wheelchair accessible, but the local Jadrolinija ferries are not.

Hi there
I am in the travel industry and I am keen to do a weeks cruise with my son in July. I am happy to look at a 3 or 4 star boat but dont want to be on a party boat with terens only. My son is 18 so a combination would be ideal. Could you recommend me to contact a tour operater in Croatia or would you ask someone to contact me.
I would really appreciate your help.
Kind regards
Dale
Hi Dale! I’m looking it up and I’ll come back to you ASAP 🙂
Thanks for reaching to me 🙂
Best regards,
Dominique
Unfortunately Dale, I don’t have any contacts for tour operators in Croatia. I would contact the cruises themselves. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Best regards, Dominique
I was fortunate enough to visit Coatia for a few days on a trip to the UK. First, good walking shoes is a must! Second, sunscreen is a definite!! Third, bring an appetite because no matter where you go your plate is loaded. I saw Split, Dubrovnik, Hvar, and Brac and want more. The good is like a combination of Italian and Greek. The water is like Crystal. My second favorite next to Scotland!
You are so right! Your days were very busy, going to all those destinations in Croatia!
Scotland is still on my bucket list!
Thanks for sharing with us your travel tips! 🙂
